Mehetre House

Where light dances across terraces,
And silence carves out spaces to breathe.
A home unfolded — not just in form,
But in rhythm, in pause, in purpose.
Each level, a story.
Each void, an invitation.

Nestled in the village of Akolner, this house is born out of a timeless articulation of light and air to create spaces that come alive with the day. Greeted by a well-placed foyer, which steps into the double-height living room, it creates a welcoming atmosphere. The house unfolds into semi-private and private spaces, achieving a spatial flow. The vertical play of windows along its facade directs sunlight to different parts of the house, and indirect light to the rest. The rooms below the ground are contrasted with a play of darkness. The integrated use of exposed RCC and stone finish colours the space cool and refreshing, extending the feel of the countryside into the house.
